The Trump Pence Administration has waged a nonstop onslaught against the rights of LGBTQ people and other marginalized communities. Here are just a few of the most outrageous attacks on the rights of transgender people:

  • Rolled back protections for trans students by removing guidance for K-12 schools on how to treat trans students respectfully
  • Banned transgender people from openly serving in the military
  • Attempted to eliminate federal health care nondiscrimination rules for trans people in health care and by insurance companies seeking to deny coverage for transition-related care
  • Argued to the Supreme Court that transgender people should not be protected by federal law
  • Announced its intention to rollback rules that protect trans people from discrimination in homeless shelters
